Maruti Suzuki India Limited, one of the largest car maker of the country, has been encountering a off period in the last few months. Company lost its market shares, labor strikes at Manesar production plant and rapidly increasing rivalry from other global giants have been the calamity of the car maker in recent times. In order to improve its market position or to regain its lost majesty, the company is working hard and looking to introduce number of vehicles to display at the upcoming 2012 Indian Auto Expo. Company plans to enter a few new segments and hope to attract masses with some new models.

Maruti Ertiga, a compact MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle), which is soon going to be added in the company's portfolio. The car will be integrated with a newly designed K14 VVT (Variable Valve Technology) engine and it will also available in diesel disguise. Additionally company also plans to showcase its newly formulated Spots Utility Vehicle (SUV) in the upcoming Auto Expo to cater SUV lovers across the nation. With such a classy announcements, the largest small car manufacturer will aim to abduction a total of 50 percent market share of the domestic car segment by 2015. Its not just SUVs or MUVs, company also looking to advances its small car portfolio in India by introducing two sub 800 cc cars at the Auto Expo in the month of January 2012. It is expected these two cars, will be named as MR Wagon and Palette, will get their power by 660 cc engine.

In India most of the car segments felt the presence of Maruti India cars. It is the largest small car manufacturer in the country and also plays an important role in other segment like sedan, SUV or MPV. There are 14 car models of the Maruti India are available in the country for the car enthusiasts. Lets start with the most important small car segment. No doubt company is the market leader of small car segment beating all the competitors in the auto industry. Maruti's Alto, A-star, Ritz, Wagon R, Zen and Swift are the popular small cars, where Alto has been the best selling small car for long, long time. Maruti Swift is also one of the best selling premium hatchback which out done almost all the premium segment cars in India.

Maruti Swift Dzire and Maruti SX4 are the two cars from the company's stable in the sedan class segment. Swift Dzire is the mid-sized sedan car which recorded the highest number of sells in past few months. But the labor problems in the Manesar plant of the company affects the delivery of the car to its consumers or buyers. Maruti SX4 and Kizashi is the premium segment sedan car which also doing well. Maruti Suzuki Eeco, Grand Vitara, Gypsy and Omni are some of the MPVs and SUVs from the company which always remains the first choice for the car buyers in India. Gypsy and Omni are the two most famous and popular four wheelers in the small cities or in rural areas of the country.
